We're a Melbourne-based studio that's been building software since 2009. We build the things other teams won't touch — and we do it fast.
I started Big Screen Entertainment in 2009 because I wanted to build things that actually worked — not pitch decks, not prototypes that never ship, but real software that solves real problems.
For the first 15 years, that meant iOS apps. Hundreds of them — for startups, established businesses, and a few ideas of our own. Apps that have been downloaded millions of times across the App Store.
Somewhere along the way, I noticed something: most of the businesses I worked with were drowning in manual processes. Copy-pasting data between apps, chasing invoices by hand, manually updating spreadsheets that should update themselves. The waste was staggering.
So we expanded. Today, BSE builds Zapier automations, provides AI advisory, and ships products like Invoice Better — alongside the iOS work we've always done. The common thread hasn't changed: understand the problem deeply, then build the simplest thing that solves it.
Three pillars, one philosophy: build things that work and get out of the way.
Native Swift apps built for performance. From concept to App Store — and the ongoing support to keep them there. 200+ projects shipped since 2009.
We connect your tools so they talk to each other. Xero invoicing, CRM updates, email workflows, reporting — all running while you sleep.
Practical AI guidance — not hype. We help you figure out where AI actually fits in your business and build the workflows to make it useful.
Speed matters. We move quickly without cutting corners on quality. You'll have something working before most agencies finish their proposals.
Every problem is different. We dig deep before we build — asking the uncomfortable questions that save weeks of rework later.
If we can't help, we'll say so. No bloated proposals, no endless meetings. Just honest conversations about what you need and whether we're the right fit.
Whether it's an automation, an app, or just a conversation about what's possible — we're here.
